Veterinary Surgeons

We have multiple amazing opportunities for enthusiastic and dedicated Veterinary Surgeons to join our flexible family friendly team.  We are looking for 3 - 4 new surgeons to come and join us!

The Role

We have multiple amazing opportunities for enthusiastic and dedicated Veterinary Surgeons to join our flexible family friendly team. We are very open to discussing the hours that suit you – whether you’re considering a full-time, part-time, term-time or solely on call contract. Many of our staff work flexibly with the potential to add extra hours to supplement your base salary. One thing is certain though, we close at 5.30pm and we ensure that the team does finish on time.

The on call rota is shared equally between vets for weekend and weeknight duties, all hours will be considered upon application and we’re currently working on minimalizing the on call duties.

Ensuring you have a work life balance to explore and make the most of this beautiful island is important to us. We are happy to accommodate specific interests so you can make this role your very own with options to perform more surgery or more consultations, other vets prefer to be out on the road more doing home visits.

We would look to pay up to £50k per year for an experienced full-time vet. We can offer a relocation allowance to help get you set up and settled on the Island and a generous welcome bonus that could be used to really explore what is right outside your door, maybe a new cycle or a surfboard.

About Us

We are a flexible family friendly practice on the beautiful island of the Isle of Wight. Not only will you get the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment which includes a CT scanner, laparoscopic surgery, video endoscopy, new ultrasound and that is without mentioning the fact we are building a brand-new surgery. Also, a fantastic team within a people centric environment, we share, we help, and we encourage your development. If development is your thing, then we encourage you to do it with the enhanced CPD allowance, coupled with a solid team of experienced vets, this is a chance to really take your career to the next step.

While you aren’t at work you soon come to realise you are living somewhere quite special and unique. You may only be 3 miles off the south coast, an hour from the mainland with 80 ferry crossings per day, but right on your doorstep you have the coastal scenery, sailing, surfing, paddle boarding, golf, horse riding and some beautiful pubs - which we sample together on our regular team socials. Some of the best walking and cycling routes the UK has to offer are right on the island. Quality of life and work life balance are second to none. Who would of thought you are only 2 hours from London via train.

Team, team ,team - this is something we love to talk about!  This ethos is integral to be the best and give the best to our clients and patients. It enables us to be flexible, to support you and your family commitments and it also opens the door for the future prospects of taking on a director’s role within the practice.

We invest in you, equipment, clients and patients and always believe in open communication and honesty. Doing the right thing is fundamentally important to us. We always push the boundaries and ensure we are thinking about new ideas to challenge the current status quo in the veterinary industry. We strive to be leaders and not followers and take pride in being different from the rest so we can continue to provide the very best of care for our patients.

Applicant Requirements

Preferably you will have experience as a veterinary surgeon in clinical practice. We would welcome candidates that are happy to work flexibly in a team environment and who are keen to enhance their skillset with additional CPD. Applications from newly qualified graduates are also welcome.
